Our students with special needs are guaranteed by law to receive the same benefits as students without disabilities. Kaibeto Boarding School complies with:

- Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973
Understanding Section 504
Section 504 is a federal law that protects students from disability-based discrimination. To qualify, a student must have a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities.
Section 504 Rights:
Students covered under Section 504 have the right to:
- Participate in and benefit from the school’s educational programs without discrimination based on disability.
- Be provided an equal opportunity to participate in the school’s nonacademic and extracurricular activities.
- Be educated in facilities and receive services comparable to those provided to students without disabilities.
- Receive auxiliary aids and services at no cost to allow each student an equal opportunity to participate in school activities.
